TAKE CARE COUNSELLING
I am a counsellor offering person centred counselling. What that means, is it’s about you and how you got here. I believe everyone has the ability to find their way through tough times and heal and grow.
I have worked with many different presenting issues in a sensitive and compassionate way. These include anxiety, depression, bereavement, abuse – domestic and child – health concerns, relationship issues, life events.

My name is Rebecca. I studied Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Salford. I volunteer at Mind as a Counsellor. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. This is the recognised body for Counselling. It means I practise to an ethical framework and standard.
Person Centred counselling is about you exploring with me anything which you want to bring to a session. I’ll hold you emotionally to explore sensitive or traumatic or confusing thoughts.
You won't be alone
TAKE CARE COUNSELLING
I offer both in person and online sessions, which are 50 minutes long.
I am based in Manchester City Centre on Portland Street, with easy access via public transport and car.
I offer a free initial online session to allow you to consider if you want to work with me and also for me to ensure I am the right counsellor for you. I am unable to offer that in person.
I will listen to you and accept you fully as you are, offering deep empathy to ensure you feel safe. This is a therapeutic space where you will be prized and invited to explore sometimes painful issues in a candid way. The therapeutic relationship facilitates the development of trust and enables new pathways to emerge from which you can find a different approach.
Counselling does not involve giving you advice or a diagnosis.
